1. Selection of membrane materials and components
The quality of the membrane material is very important to a membrane structure project. Even if it is the same membrane material, the quality of different manufacturers, different models, and even different production batches are different, and the actual application should be carefully selected and checked in detail; The local quality defects of the material should be skipped during cutting. In addition, the membrane structure adopts metal components to take effective anti-corrosion protection measures; when designing, the selection of the cross-sectional size of the components should consider the influence of rust and leave a margin. As far as possible, use components made of stainless steel.
2. Avoid damage and tearing of the membrane
When designing the membrane structure, the designer should ensure that the membrane surface has sufficient rigidity after tension; the design of the detailed structure should take into account the possibility of secondary tension; and the slack membrane surface should be tensioned twice in time. The joint design must ensure sufficient rotational freedom to adapt to the tearing or deformation of the membrane surface under wind.



3. Prevent fire damage
The membrane surface of the membrane structure should minimize the approach of combustible objects. Corresponding fire-fighting facilities shall be set up in strict accordance with the requirements of the building design fire protection code.
Fourth, prevent damage to the connecting components
The connecting member is also an important factor in the tension of the membrane structure. The design of the connecting member ensures that it meets the requirements of mechanical strength and has appropriate safety reserves. The key parts can be considered to be equipped with structural measures such as safety chains to prevent the safety of the entire structure from being endangered in case the connecting piece is damaged.


5. Prevent water in the membrane area
When designing the shape of the membrane surface, a larger slope of the membrane surface should be adopted and the drainage path of the membrane surface should be convenient. Apply the corresponding vertical load on the membrane surface according to the rainfall situation of the project site, and check the contour map of the membrane surface after deformation; if there is an approximate circular or elliptical area outside the high point, the membrane surface should be modified shape. When stretching, the pre-tension of the membrane surface must reach the designed pre-tension level; the loose membrane surface must be stretched twice in time; the water in the membrane area must be assisted in time for manual drainage, and corresponding remedial and modification measures should be taken.
