Design

The shape and size of the building, the three-dimensional shape, the headroom volume are determined through the shape design, the coordinates and structural forms of each control point are determined, and the membrane material and construction scheme are selected.
Production
Generally, after the film materials are cut, they need to be connected by seams to form a film unit. The main stress joints between the film materials should be heat-sealed. Membrane units can be connected by braided wires, clamps or bolts. In addition, the membrane must be connected to the supporting framework, steel cables and concrete or steel edge members, which are usually completed by special fixtures and connectors. Anchorage of steel cable ends is an important part of the force transmission in the membrane structure, and its end connectors can be made by screwing or connecting rings by casting or crimping. The connection between the membrane structure and the foundation can adopt a cable anchor system, including gravity anchors, disc anchors, mushroom anchors, friction piles, tension piles, resistance walls and other types.
Installation
After the material is delivered to the construction site, it should be continuously installed in place and fixed on the supporting member. An important process during installation is to apply pre-tension to the film structure step by step through concentrated application points, so that the film surface is gradually subjected to tension and formed. At present, there is no reliable detection method for whether the membrane surface reaches the designed pretension. In practice, only the displacement of the force application point can reach the design value as a control standard. For representative force application points, force value sampling should be performed.
Maintenance
After the membrane structure is completed, it is necessary to maintain and maintain the membrane structure to ensure the normal use of the membrane structure, and it is also the joint responsibility of the production, installation and use units.
