(1) The selection of the film material has a great impact on the maintenance and life of the stretched film structure. When selecting a film, comprehensive consideration should be given to the amount of ultraviolet radiation, lighting requirements, fire protection requirements, and the strength and durability of the structure.
(2) The builder or other professionals shall conduct periodic inspections of the membrane structure. This inspection includes checking for leaks on the surface of the membrane and whether it has been worn by other components. If problems are found, they should be repaired in a timely manner. Inspections should be carried out before the rainy season and winter each year to prevent loosening of waterproof points and blockage of water drops, gutters, and cornices, and to keep the roof drainage system unblocked.
(3) The service life and maintenance requirements of the tensile membrane structure depend on the combined effects of design, materials used, construction level and external environment.
(4) Heavy materials are not allowed to be stored on the surface of the membrane, and objects that are easy to fade are not allowed to be stored in the membrane structure building for a long time. Membrane materials are not allowed to contact solvent items that are harmful to its chemical and physical properties, so as not to damage its cleaning layer.
(5) Design factors related to the service life and maintenance of the membrane structure include: accurate stress analysis of the membrane structure; setting protective measures on the structure to prevent the membrane from being cut by sharp tools or suffering other damage; stress may occur in contact with the cable, etc. Concentrated or worn areas should be given special attention, detailed inspection and elimination of hidden dangers.
